According to a report by Empire Magazine, the director and lead star of Edge of Tomorrow 2 are discussing the possibility of collaborating again.
The director recently re-watched the first movie released in 2014 and then actively communicated with Tom Cruise to plan a sequel with Cruise in the lead.
Emily Blunt and Tom Cruise Interested to Return in Edge of Tomorrow 2
“No, we keep talking about it. We’re very excited about that world. Tom and I actually re-watched the movie two months ago, because I haven’t watched it in 10 years. I was like, ‘Wow, that was a really good movie.'”
Doug Liman, the director, along with his two lead stars, Emily Blunt and Tom Cruise, expressed their interest in reprising their roles in the Edge of Tomorrow sequel. The Edge of Tomorrow 2 movie has actually been planned for a long time, but there is no recent news regarding the plan.
In 2019, Warner Bros. announced that it was developing Edge of Tomorrow 2. However, there is no definitive information about the film project.
But recently, it was reported that Tom Cruise has signed a contract with Warner Bros. for a new movie project. Many fans are of the opinion that this project might be a sequel to Edge of Tomorrow.
Back in December, Emily Blunt also revealed that she and Doug Liman had discussed the possibility of being involved in the movie.

Edge of Tomorrow is a 2014 movie adaptation of Jiroshi Sakurazaka’s novel All You Need Is Kill. The story centers on a soldier who goes about his daily life to fight an alien attack that wants to wipe out humanity. The movie was a huge success, earning US$360 million.
