The movie’s revenue only reached USD 159 million, which was below its production budget of USD 190 million.
The Matrix 5 Movie Director
According to Variety, Drew Goddard will take over as director from Lana and Lily Wachowski, creators of The Matrix.
As such, this makes The Matrix 5 the first movie in the series that will not be directed by the Wachowski duo. Instead, the Wachowski brothers will act as executive producers for The Matrix 5.
