In a recent interview on The Rich Roll Podcast, Holland stated that he and Zendaya had read a draft of the movie’s script and felt very excited about the direction that creatives were taking for this superhero sequel.

“We have developed a very interesting creative concept, presentation and draft. While it still needs some refinement, the writers have done a great job. I read it about three weeks ago, and it really re-energized me,” Holland said.
Holland also stated that he and Zendaya read the script together in their living room.
“We were literally jumping up and down in the living room, feeling that this is a movie that deserves to be appreciated by the fans,” he added.
Although the Spider-Man 4 script they read was quite interesting, Tom Holland emphasized that there are still some things they need to fix before the production process can begin.
“There are still a few things we need to finalize before things really get going,” he says. “But it’s very exciting and I’m really looking forward to how it goes.”
