The movie The Toxic Avenger has just launched an uncensored trailer. It is an adult superhero movie filled with action and violence. Toxic Avenger will hit theaters in the United States in August.
Macon Blair is the director and screenwriter of this movie, which will feature Game of Thrones’ famous Peter Dinklage, as well as Taylour Paige.
In addition, the movie also received support from a number of other famous actors, including Kevin Bacon and Elijah Wood who played the villainous brothers, Bob and Fritz Garbinger.
Their presence certainly enhances the movie’s appeal, especially with their unique and distinct acting styles. Jacob Tremblay and Jane Levy are also part of the project, adding to the interesting cast lineup.

The movie’s first trailer managed to capture the attention of loyal fans. The movie confidently maintains the essence of the previous version. The visual aspects to the blood and explosions, which are usually present in low-budget movies, feel authentic and entertaining.

A janitor named Winston Gooze suffers a terrible toxic accident and transforms into a new hero: The Toxic Avenger. With her newly acquired powers, Toxie must confront a ruthless corporate leader and the evil forces that threaten her family and the community she loves.
2. Airing August 2025
The movie is a remake version of a movie released in 1984 and under the direction of Michael Herz and Lloyd Kaufman. The movie produced three sequels: The Toxic Avenger Part II which was released in 1989, The Toxic Avenger Part III: The Last Temptation of Toxie also from 1989, and Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger IV which appeared in 2000.
An updated version of The Toxic Avenger first screened at Fantastic Fest in September 2023. However, the movie faced challenges in finding a distributor until finally in January 2025, Cineverse managed to acquire the distribution rights.
Produced by Legendary Entertainment, The Toxic Avenger is scheduled to hit theaters across the United States on August 29, 2025.
