After a long wait. Finally, the trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was also released a few hours ago.
One of the MCU film series that we didn’t expect to be a big success is undeniably Ant-Man. How could you not? Initially, many predicted that Ant-Man (2015) would be mediocre. Some even predicted that it would fail.
But when his first film finally came out. All predictions and scoffs were immediately silenced. Instead, the film is funny, simple, and really fun. As a result, it is not surprising that this film later led to its sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018).

The Fun and Mysterious Quantum World
Well, when the sequel was released, the overall film was not as crazy as the first film. But at the same time, there’s no denying that the first introduction to the quantum realm succeeded in making us very interested.
In other words, it’s not just a short introduction, but from the moment we see it. We already know that the Quantum Realm will play an important role in future MCU films. Also, we just want to know how the whole realm is.
And it looks like Kevin Feige know this desire of ours. Plus he also thinks the Quantum Realm focus is important for the next MCU storytelling. Based on this. No wonder then that the Quantum Realm became the title and main focus of the third Ant-Man movie.
Now with all these statements. So it’s no wonder that the movie and even the trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania are eagerly awaited. And finally after a long wait. A few hours ago, the trailer was finally released.
Getting sucked into the Quantum Realm
The trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania opens with a super cheerful tonal. Namely, the figure of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) who is now much happier in life. We can certainly attribute this to his heroic work as the superhero, Ant-Man.
However, this cheerful tone suddenly changes immediately. Because in the next scene. The trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania shows the main disaster scene of the film.
Specifically, the scene shows Scott’s biological daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton) using her artificial satellite to send signals to the Quantum Realm. Hearing this, Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) was immediately shocked.
“Wait are you sending a signal to the Quantum Realm? TURN IT OFF! Turn it off NOW!” said Janet. But unfortunately before it had time to turn off. The satellite that responded to the signal sent by Cassie immediately emitted an explosion of light.
Which then blasts Scott, Cassie, Janet, and the rest of the main characters into the Quantum Realm.
Quantum Realm dan Kang
After being sucked in, how surprised are we as the audience who finally find out that in the Quantum Realm, there is basically life.
And with the exception of Janet, who seems very reluctant to return (who can blame her, right?). The other main characters are just like us. Alias, they also want to explore and also know more about this quantum world.
Along the way, they will also meet other MCU characters including the film’s main villain, Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors).
And finally at the end of the trailer we hear a character say that he can bring back Scott and the other main characters of the film. As long as Scott is willing to help him. Then the next scene shows Kang asking Scott, “so how is Ant-Man?”
Not necessarily the Kang who asked
Now when you hear all the statements and questions at the end of the trailer. We must have immediately assumed that the one who wanted to help and make a deal with Scott was Kang.
Because once again when he said the question, the trailer scene immediately showed Kang’s figure. BUT in my opinion, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the one who said the sentence of wanting to help and asking the question is both Kang.
Remember guys this is an MCU movie trailer. And as we all know, we are often deceived by what we believe when we watch the trailer. With the end result of what we witnessed.
Now based on this view. As a result, I believe once again that the statement and question we heard at the end of the trailer. Not necessarily the same from Kang’s mouth.
Bill Murray
In my opinion. The one who promises to help and also make deals is a mysterious character that actor Bill Murray (Zombieland) plays in this film.
Then the one who asked “so what about Ant-Man?” was Kang. Because honestly, when I heard it a few times. Indeed, the heavy timbre of Murray’s and Majors’ voices are almost similar, although at the same time, there are still audible differences.
But then again. It could be that both the statement and the question at the end of the trailer are indeed from Kang’s mouth.
Well, to be sure. Let’s just wait until the release of the second trailer or when Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania releases on February 17, 2023.
Now, what do you think about the release of the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer?
