Julia Garner has made her debut as the Silver Surfer in the trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps that has just been released. Set in an alternate world with a retro-futuristic twist, the trailer captivated fans by showcasing the grave threat of Galactus and the emergence of the Silver Surfer.
Quoting Entertainment Weekly, the actress had previously revealed, “I can imagine that the Silver Surfer will make a very striking appearance.”
There is no lie to his statement. He appeared before Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn), and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach). The Silver Surfer reveals that their planet is facing inevitable destruction.
1. The Fantastic Four: First Steps Trailer
The trailer begins in documentary style, with a news anchor summarizing the origin story of the Fantastic Four. The reporter tells us that they were once four brave astronauts who underwent a remarkable transformation after returning from space.
A moment of enthusiasm was seen when a group of children cheered as Ben Grimm lifted the car in the middle of the road. The public proudly welcomed them as heroes of the world.
The atmosphere was warm when Reed Richards and Sue Storm arrived late for dinner and announced the good news that Sue was pregnant.
However, their happiness did not last long. A silver-looking stranger suddenly appears, he is Shalla-Bal aka Silver Surfer, an envoy of Galactus. She confronts them on the streets and warns them that Galactus has marked this planet for destruction.
The next scene of the trailer shows various tension-filled action scenes. Reed looks worried, different from his usual demeanor. The members of the Fantastic Four are seen rescuing civilians from the ruins of the city.
The trailer climaxes with a dramatic moment: Galactus’ footsteps hitting the city streets. Although his full form has yet to be revealed, the size of his footsteps, equivalent to a skyscraper, is enough to emphasize the threat they face.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theaters on July 25, 2025 as part of the sixth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Fantastic Four team will also join the Avengers in a movie titled “Doomday” that will be released in May 2026.
With a combination of top actors and actresses and an interesting story, this movie could be one of the biggest blockbusters of the year.
