Transformers One Timeline Happened Billions of Years Ago
The sci-fi animated film is the work of director Josh Cooley, while the script is written by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari. Many fans may already know Cooley, as he was involved in various high-profile animation projects, such as Toy Story 4, Inside Out, and Up.
During SDCC 2024, the film’s producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura revealed to fans the timeline of Transformers One. According to Screen Rant, Di Bonaventura mentioned that “(Transformers One will be set) 3 billion years before the stories we have made before.”
Transformers One will be set on the planet Cybertron, which is where the Transformers live. Based on available information, the movie will explore the history of the Transformers.
Therefore, it seems natural that the timeline of the Transformers One movie would be billions of years ago. However, Paramount has not confirmed that this movie will be a prequel to the existing Transformers movies.
