Zack Snyder is preparing a new movie on Netflix. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Snyder will direct a new movie that focuses on the Los Angeles Police Department. Snyder is collaborating with Netflix again for his latest project. Reportedly they will work on an action-thriller, which will certainly provide a new experience in Snyder’s career.
1. Zack Snyder New Movie on Netflix will be More Realistic

Snyder will write the screenplay with Kurt Johnstad, with whom he previously worked on 300 and Rebel Moon. Snyder, Deborah Snyder, and Wesley Coller will produce the film under their Stone Quarry imprint.
The project promises to be Snyder’s first fully realistic movie. It won’t feature laser-gun-wielding rebels, zombies hungry for human flesh, masked heroes breaking bones, or Spartans cutting off body parts, which usually appear in the director’s famous works. However, the movie still offers drama, deep themes, and exciting action.
Some specific details have yet to be revealed, but the action thriller is reportedly set in a high-stakes world between life and death. The story focuses on an elite LAPD unit that constantly faces the inevitable clash between law and morality.
2. The Project Snyder Has Been Craving for a Long Time

This project will be a very meaningful time for Snyder. More than two decades ago, when he was trying to move away from the world of music videos and commercials, he got the chance to work on his first feature film with S.W.A.T., an action movie that Sony produced.
He had wanted to make an R-rated movie-a big surprise. However, the studio preferred a PG-13 rating. In the end, Snyder chose to abandon the project. However, some of his ideas and concepts remained stuck in his mind.
“A few years ago, Dan Lin and I discussed our shared interest in creating compelling, immersive character-focused stories set against the intense, complex and captivating backdrop of the LAPD,” Snyder said in a statement from the Hollywood Reporter.
“That conversation has always stayed with me, so as you can imagine, I’m very excited to now be collaborating with Dan, along with all my amazing colleagues at Netflix, to develop this story.”
This latest LAPD project will be the fourth film directed by Snyder for Netflix, following Rebel Moon, Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver, and Army of the Dead.
In addition, this will also be the sixth project that Stone Quarry has produced for Netflix, as the company has previously produced the Army of the Dead prequel, Army of Thieves, as well as the Twilight of the Gods animated series that released in September.
