BTS’ J-Hope is the next member of the phenomenal South Korean group who will soon be serving in the military. This was confirmed by the agency, Big Hit Labels who announced that the rapper officially entered the military camp soon.

“We would like to inform fans that J-Hope has started the military enlistment process by applying for a termination of his enlistment delay,” reads their official statement as quoted by CNN Media.

But a few hours after the announcement. It is known that there are reports stating that the 29-year-old idol was about to postpone his country duty. But a few hours later, the decision to postpone (conscription) was canceled and returned as planned.

“I think I’ve been thinking about this since last year. After Jin hyung entered (the military), I wondered when I should do it too,” J-Hope said on Weverse when reports of his draft delay broke out.

Will Release New Song Before Conscription

But before he leaves for military camp, J-Hope BTS has prepared a new release that he will release a few days before his departure. A single titled On the Street will be released on March 3. In accordance with the announcement released by Big Hit Labels a few hours ago.

“Hello, this is Big Hit Music. We would like to announce the release of BTS member J-Hope’s solo single, On the Street. The key motif of the track comes from the word ‘street’ which can be interpreted as the place where people’s daily lives pass – a metaphor for life. It comes from ‘street dance’, a genre that represents J-Hope’s roots as an artist, and it also symbolizes the path he will continue to walk with his fans around the world,” Big Hit wrote in the official announcement.
