Here’s Why Ging Freecss is a Bad Dad

1. Leaving Gon when he was young
The first reason is that Ging left Gon when he was young. So before taking the Hunter exam, Gon lived with his aunt and grandmother. His father left Gon when he was young while Gon’s mother is not mentioned.
In order to meet his father Gon must become a hunter, at first glance we think that Ging’s goal is for Gon to become a strong child. But still, a father should occasionally meet his child, what else did Gon’s mother not tell him where to go.
2. Ging only cares about his adventures
The next reason is that Ging only cares about his adventures. So as we mentioned earlier, Ging is a Hunter, and because he works as a Hunter, he’s always off on adventures.
But to make matters worse, Ging rarely came home, and he didn’t even want to meet Gon. As a father, of course, Ging’s actions are not good, after all, Gon has been raised by his aunt and grandmother, while his parents left him.

5. Not Caring About Gon’s Dying Condition
The last reason is that Ging does not care about Gon’s dying condition. So after the war against Chimera Ant ended, Gon was severely injured. Even his life was threatened, to the point of having to ask Nanika for help to cure him.
