A new season of the sci-fi comedy anime Gintama ‘3-Nen Z-Gumi Ginpachi-sensei’ is coming later this year, and the first spin-off trailer has already been released. After more than 3 years without new content, fans are eagerly anticipating this exciting season.
At this year’s Jump Festa, the trailer for Gintama ‘3-Nen Z-Gumi Ginpachi-sensei’ was released and it looks very exciting. The series will air in October 2025, with the full staff and cast already announced. The number of episodes is still unavailable, but more information and teasers will be released closer to fall 2025.
Gintama Anime Spin-Off Trailer in the New Season
Based on the spinoff manga by Tomohito Osaki, this anime season will be set in Gintama High School. The charismatic Gintoki will play the role of homeroom teacher, although his behavior as a teacher is very different from what we expect.
Many characters in the franchise, such as Kagura, Shinpachi, Kondo, Takasugi, and Hijikata, will be her students. The series has many episodes that take place in high school, and they are all very interesting. While this theme isn’t something entirely new, it’s still very much worth watching.
The season will be handled by Bandai Namco Pictures with Natsumi Higashida as the director. Katsuki Fudeyasu, known from Bleach, Black Clover, and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, will script and compose the series. Shinji Takeuchi, who has been involved since the beginning, returns as the chief animation director, while Audio Highs will also return as the music composer.
Most of the voice actors in the anime, such as Tomokazu Sugita (Gintoki), Daisuke Sakaguchi (Shinpachi), Kugimiya Rie (Kagura), and Kazuya Nakaya (Hijikata), will return, including Sugita who will also appear in the upcoming Sakamoto Days anime.
New Season of Gintama Anime is a Nostalgic Story
The action comedy franchise Gintama remains a favorite of shonen fans despite its last episode being long gone. The white-haired hero, Ginpachi, will return to television screens in parody form through a spin-off titled Gintama ‘3-Nen Z-Gumi Ginpachi-sensei.
