My Hero Academia will release a new OVA or Original Video Animation on February 19, 2025 in Japan. The OVA will be available on DVD and Blu-ray, and will feature additional content not included in the anime.
The My Hero Academia OVA presents new stories involving well-known characters, such as Izuku Midoriya and Shoto Todoroki, that many fans have grown to love. Titled A Piece Of Cake, it is a prequel to the recently released movie My Hero Academia: You’re Next, and will feature members of Class 1-A and All Might.
Where will the My Hero Academia Anime OVA be released?
Mangaka Kohei Horikoshi wrote this OVA with a very entertaining and fun storyline. In this OVA, you will see the exciting conversation between the students of Class 1-A about Quirk, before they embark on a mission to capture Dark Might, who also appeared in the movie My Hero Academia: You’re Next.
The beginning of the video will show Mina Ashido asking Deku if he has trouble controlling multiple Quirks at once. Deku replies that he does have difficulty, but that it helps him see his Quirk as a “tool” that can be interchanged as needed.
In this OVA, Mina’s questions prompt Deku to share his journal with his classmates. The journal contains ideas on how to combine their Quirk. Some funny moments occur, including Bakugo’s angry reaction to one of the Quirk pairings Deku wrote between himself and Todoroki.
Bakugo felt he was the strongest and was not happy with Deku’s admiration for Todoroki. He jokingly argued with Shoto about which of his Ultimate Stances was the best, until All Might came to stop the argument.
My Hero Academia OVA Part of the New Movie
The OVA ends with All Might contemplating the Mother of Quirks while preparing for his mission. He imagines his thoughts as Dark Might, Anna, Giulio, and Class 1-A prepare for the upcoming battle in My Hero Academia: You’re Next.
Overall, this OVA shows Class 1-A interacting in a relaxed and realistic way like a typical teenager, which of course left many fans wanting to see more. In this video, you can also see the arrogant and angry side of Bakugo, despite his character development, as well as his interactions with Deku and Todoroki.
