And when we click and explore the trending hashtag again, we see a surprising cumulative of comments. That is, according to the hashtag name, within the next (possibly) 24 hours, we will say goodbye to this site.

Yes in other words, after 16 years of existence, finally this microblogging site will end its existence. No doubt many “veteran” users immediately felt sad, panicked, just mixed up.

However, there are also many who are casual or even happy with the closure of this site. But is it true that Twitter in the next few hours, will close this site?

What’s going on?

Elon Musk | The Hollywood Reporter

That could be the case guys. Because as reported by CNET, a few hours ago almost hundreds of Twitter employees decided to resign. Which, technically, leaves the headquarters almost empty.

As a result, only 1 or 2 engineers are still around to keep the site up and running. So why did all these employees decide to resign?

Well, this is because the new owner of the site, Elon Musk gave an ultimatum to all his employees. Specifically, the ultimatum is that all Twitter employees must work a minimum of 40 hours.

The 40 hours here is of course in terms of the working week. In addition, they must also be ready and able to adapt to all the changes that Musk will make later.

Or if they do not agree with the rules, then they are allowed to resign with a guarantee of severance pay for 3 months. And in the end, as reported by the source, 75% of Twitter employees prefer the second option.

With this fact, it is once again no wonder that #RIPTwitter is trending. Now, what do you think about this news?
