1. Park Hae Soo as Kim Beom Joon
In this thriller Korean drama Karma, Park Hae Soo plays the character Kim Beom Joon. At first, he appears as a witness in a car accident, but it turns out that his role is not limited to that.
Kim Beom Joon’s character has experienced a period of imprisonment as a teenager, although the reason is not explained in the story. As an adult, he is once again stuck in prison and becomes familiar with Jang Gil Ryeong. Beom Joon also formed a friendship with Lee Yu Jeong to engage in criminal activities.
2. Shin Min Ah as Lee Ju Yeon
A doctor was traumatized from an incident in her past when she was a victim of sexual harassment. This incident happened when she was in high school. At that time, she had a friend who disliked her just because many people liked Ju Yeon.
Because of this incident, she became entangled in a blind date that ultimately resulted in a major traumatic experience in her life. Since then, Ju Yeon has never been without nightmares that haunt her every night.
3. Lee Hee Joon as Park Jae Yeong
The chaos in Karma starts with Park Jae Yeong, a factory worker who suffered a huge loss by investing his money in crypto. He has a huge debt to pay in one month, otherwise he will become a victim of illegal organ trafficking.
In order to achieve wealth quickly, Jae Yeong took the extreme step of plotting the murder of his own father.
4. Kim Sung Kyun as Jang Gil Ryeong
Jang Gil Ryeong is a factory worker of Korean-Chinese descent and she works together with Jae Yeong. But unfortunately, due to efficiency efforts in the company, she ended up having to face termination.
Gil Ryeong is in a situation that requires a lot of money to pay for her child’s treatment. Because of this condition, she was tempted by Jae Yeong’s offer to commit murder with the lure of big money.
5. Gong Seung Yeon as Lee Yu Jeong
Lee Yu Jeong is a woman who commits acts of extortion against rich people including her boyfriend, Han Sang Heon. She often commits her crimes together with Kim Beom Joon.
When she was in high school, Yu Jeong felt jealous of Lee Ju Yeon because she was very popular among many people. Because of this, Yu Jeong tried to create a scenario for Ju Yeon to be trapped in a blind date.
6. Lee Kwang Soo as Han Sang Heon
Han Sang Heon is a doctor who owns a beauty clinic. However, his life suddenly fell apart when he was involved in an accident that was apparently planned by his own girlfriend to blackmail him. As a result of the accident, she is entangled in a dangerous situation that threatens her life.
7. Kim Nam Gil as Yoon Jeong Min
Although he only appeared briefly, Kim Nam Gil’s role as Yoon Jeong Min managed to steal the show. He plays a doctor and is also Lee Ju Yeon’s boyfriend.
Yoon Jeong Min is moonlighting to pay off medical school debt and wedding expenses despite looking calm but has suspicious moves.
