For fans of Daredevil: Born Again who have watched all the latest episodes, must be curious about when season 2 will be released. The good news is, there probably won’t be too long of a wait for the second season for fans to see.
After launching its final episode, the first season of Daredevil: Born Again is now available in full on the Disney+ streaming service. The series is a new version of the “Daredevil” series created by Netflix in 2015. Actor Charlie Cox returns to play the role of Matt Murdock in this new version.
The story is set six years after the third season of the Netflix series, and consists of nine action-packed episodes. Matt Murdock, a blind but exceptionally skilled lawyer, must face Wilson Fisk who has now entered politics in New York.
In the last episode, Fisk detained elite figures and political opponents, including the Punisher (Jon Bernthal), but the Punisher managed to escape in the after-credits scene. On the other hand, Daredevil must prepare to build a resistance to take back control of the city he has been guarding. This struggle will continue in the next season.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Release Date
Showrunner Dario Scardapane announced that the second season will air on Hotstar in March 2026. The season will consist of eight episodes and will be released a year after the first season which aired on March 4, 2025.
Scardapane expressed his gratitude to the cast, crew, and studio for the opportunity in an Instagram post. Apart from announcing the release schedule, he also mentioned some important names related to this project, such as Kevin Feige, Sana Amanat, Brad Winderbaum, Louis D’Esposito, as well as the main cast such as Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, and Jon Bernthal.
Originally Daredevil: Born Again had 18 episodes in one season, but Marvel Studios later decided to split it into two seasons. Scardapane explained that the second season will have a different theme from the first season. He said that the end of the first season actually brought about a major conflict that would develop intensely in the following season.
In addition to the second season of Daredevil: Born Again, Marvel Studios is also working on a special project for the Punisher character that will air in 2026.
