Marvel has released a 20-second teaser for Daredevil: Born Again. This trailer excited fans as it featured the return of an old character in the story.
In this series, Charlie Cox will return to play the character of Matt Murdock, who must face off against Vincent D’Onofrio who plays the Kingpin. Although the two have appeared in Marvel’s latest project, they haven’t appeared together on-screen since the third season of the previous Daredevil series that released in 2018.
Daredevil: Born Again Teaser
A trailer highlighting Marvel’s upcoming release on Disney Plus has surfaced online, and it includes 20 seconds of footage for Daredevil: Born Again.
In the trailer, we see Matt Murdock facing Wilson Fisk again. However, the situation is different this time. Wilson here appears as a candidate for Mayor of New York City. Even so, there is no certainty whether he has been elected Mayor or not.
What’s interesting is that the meeting between these two characters is very different from before, where there is no longer any tension. As explained at the end of Echo, Wilson Fisk plans to run for Mayor of New York City after deciding to leave his role as the city’s crime boss.
In the teaser featuring the meeting between Fisk and Matt, it is seen that the tension between them is no longer what it used to be.
2. The Rise of the Punisher and Other Villain Characters
However, besides the meeting of the two iconic characters, there are also other interesting things that appear in the teaser trailer of “Daredevil: Born Again” teaser trailer. Although it was only brief, the series confirmed that some of the older characters from Marvel Television on Netflix are now part of the MCU canon, as actor John Bernthal will return to play The Punisher.
We also witnessed the amazing actions of villains like Bullseye and Muse. In addition, Vanessa Marianna Fisk, Wilson Fisk’s wife, was also introduced and is expected to play an important role in future stories.
