Netflix announced that it has begun production on Enola Holmes 3 and has shared photos from behind the scenes of the shoot featuring Millie Bobby Brown and Louis Partridge. Filming for Enola Holmes 3 has begun in the UK, and a line-up of famous actors are returning to the project, including Millie Bobby Brown who also plays the lead.
Philip Barantini will direct Enola Holmes 3, a filmmaker who has successfully worked on the crime drama Adolescence. Meanwhile, the scriptwriter of the previous two Enola Holmes films, Jack Thorne, will return to write the script for this third film which adapts the novel The Enola Holmes Mysteries by Nancy Springer.
On the production team, Bobby Brown serves as one of the producers alongside Mary Parent, Ali Mendes, and Alex Garcia for Legendary Entertainment, while Bobby Brown is also a producer for PCMA Productions. In addition, Joshua Grode and Michael Dreyer are also involved as executive producers.
Henry Cavill Returns to the Cast of Enola Holmes 3
In their announcement, Netflix confirmed that the production for “Enola Holmes 3” is retaining the previous main cast. They also released the full list of cast members who will be participating in the project as follows:
- Millie Bobby Brown as Enola Holmes
- Louis Partridge as Tewkesbury
- Himesh Patel as Dr. John Watson
- Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes
- Helena Bonham Carter as Eudoria Holmes
- Sharon Duncan-Brewster as Moriarty.
The Enola Holmes franchise last released Enola Holmes 2 in 2022, which chronicles Enola’s career as a private detective. The first case she tackles is that of a missing female worker at a match factory.
In her quest to solve this mystery, Enola realizes that she cannot do it all alone. Therefore, she enlists the help of those closest to her, including Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill), to assist her.
Enola Holmes 2 ends with a scene where Enola opens a detective office in London. The scene gives hope for a possible bridge to the beginning of Enola Holmes 3.
The third installment of the Enola Holmes movie series will continue the story of Enola’s adventures in Malta. She will face a difficult choice between figuring out the mysterious case she wants to solve or pursuing her personal dreams.
Malta becomes Enola’s dream destination, where she is assigned a case more complicated and dangerous than any she has faced before. As a professional female private detective, she faces a new task. In addition, we may see how the love between Holmes and Tewkesbury continues.
