In a time long past, twelve angels of the zodiac fought tenaciously against the forces of evil to protect humanity. Through heroic sacrifice, the angels managed to seal the dark forces at the gates of Hell, bringing peace to the world.
However, the tranquility did not last long. Evil has risen again, causing chaos among humans. In the face of the threat of a group of evil beings, including O-Gwi (Park Hyung-sik).
Twelve angels of the zodiac, led by the tiger-symbol Tae-San (Ma Dong-Seok), are forced into a fateful battle. These are no ordinary angels. Each has a distinctive power, inspired by the animal symbols in the Eastern zodiac.
As the leader of the twelve angels, Tae San carries the burden of a dark past. He once participated in a great battle. Some of the angels back then, sacrificed themselves to close the gates of hell.
Now, as the seals holding back the evil begin to weaken, he must again lead his comrades to face a similar threat. Won Seung (Seo In-guk), a clever and agile figure, is known as the monkey angel.
With great ambitions to replace Tae San as leader, his presence brings new dynamics and enriches the interaction between characters. Meanwhile, Mir, a dragon angel (Lee Joo-bin), who also has a crucial role in the storyline.
