Bidaah (Broken Heaven) Synopsis
Bidaah tells the story of a heretical sect in the name of religion, focusing on Walid (Faizal Hussein), a charismatic sect leader who is able to influence many people.
With his charm and charisma, Walid managed to attract the attention of many followers. He began to spread teachings that deviated far from the basic tenets of Islam in a village steeped in tradition.
At the center of this story is Baiduri (Riena Diana), a young woman who is forced to join the Jihad Ummah sect at the insistence of her mother.
Although not fully understanding at first, Baiduri began to realize that the teachings Walid was leading were far from the true teachings of Islam.
Over time, Baiduri teamed up with Hambali (Fattah Amin), Walid’s son who had just returned from Yemen.
Hambali also begins to realize the error of his father’s teachings and is determined to uncover the truth. Together, they fight the heresy and try to restore the truth in the lives of the people of their village.
