Synopsis of Korean Drama Nine Puzzles
The story of Nine Puzzles begins with a tragedy that happened ten years ago. At that time, Yoon Yi-Na (Kim Da Mi), was still in her teens when she found her uncle, Yoon Donghoon, lying lifeless after being murdered.
Near his uncle’s body, there was an important clue, a piece of a mysterious riddle. This riddle would be the hallmark of the perpetrator of the crime. A link that connects the tragedy of yesteryear with the terror unfolding today.
For Yi-na, her uncle was not just a bodyguard, but also a figure who had filled the roles of father, mother, and friend in her life. As such, it was the beginning of the darkness and secrets that encompassed her life.
Yi-Na was the only person who saw the gruesome incident. However, unfortunately, she does not remember how she came to be at the scene, nor any details about the murder. Yi-Na has amnesia. This puts her in a vulnerable situation to accusations.
Detective Kim Han-Saem (Son Suk Ku), is one of the police officers investigating the murder case. Since the beginning of the investigation, Han-Saem has a strong suspicion that Yi-Na is the one responsible for his uncle’s death.
The case eventually became a cold case that showed no progress. More importantly, it was the first case in Han-Saem’s career that he failed to solve.
