Disappointing news for fans hoping to see Batman in The Penguin series, as the character has been confirmed by the series writers to not be present. The spinoff series from Matt Reeves’ The Batman will air soon.

Batman will not be present in The Penguin series
As a spin-off of The Batman movie, many fans were hoping that Robert Pattinson would appear in the series. However, recent reports suggest that this possibility will not materialize.
In an interview with SFX Magazine, Laura LeFranc, showrunner and writer of The Penguin series, explained that Batman will definitely not be present in The Penguin series.
“To me, it felt like something unique. Matt’s movie is shown from Batman’s point of view, so we see the city from a height. Meanwhile, The Penguin series offers a different perspective. Through the character of Oz, we get a taste of life on the streets of Gotham, entering the dark and grim side of the city. He watches from below, wanting the ultimate power there. So, it was a different experience…”
Will be Released in September 2024
Based on the information that has been obtained, The Penguin series will be set one week after the events at the end of The Batman movie.
In the trailer, we see that Oz’s attempt to seize power in Gotham does not go smoothly. During his journey, Oz has to contend with the daughter of Carmine Falcone, the ruler of the underworld in Gotham.
There is no information yet on how Oz will attempt to seize power in Gotham City. Collin Farrell will continue to play the character of Oz in the series, where his performance in The Batman received much praise.
The actor is considered to have successfully brought his character to life in a special way. The Penguin series is scheduled to premiere on September 20, 2024.
