Most Powerful Kings and Dictators in Marvel Comics
The marvel comics most powerful Kings and Dictators from this list are customized and considered in many ways. Such as rules, followers, impact on humans around and finally based on the strength of the character. So don’t focus too much on power.
10. Annihilus
Centuries ago, the Tyan people embarked on a project to bring life to the Negative Zone. They almost succeeded in bringing life to the uninhabited Negative Zones, but the fee to carry out the mission was very expensive.
After their ship crashed into the volcanic planet Arthos, the remaining Tyannans would starve to death. Their dead spores eventually brought life to the planet.
When life begins to emerge, the highly intelligent insectoids it gives birth to will use Tyannan technology to conquer the negative zones and the rest of the universe.
9. Suprame Intelligence
The Kree created Suprame Intelligence to help them create a cosmic cube to fight the Skrulls. But the Suprame intelligence, created using a combination of the Kree’s greatest minds, eventually grew a mind of its own.
The Suprame Intelligence would grow to replace the Kree government, and would even be worshipped as a god. This worship led to fanatical Kree followers who would bow to the call of the Suprame Intelligence.
8. En Sabah Nur
En Sabah Nur or X-Men fans know him better as Apocalypse is one of the strongest characters in X-Men. He believes that the strong should always rise to the top and take control.
Apocalypse wants to reorganize the new order of life by destroying the old one. He wants to create a world where the strong can do whatever they want until someone stronger manages to do something about it.
But unfortunately, careful planning is not one of Apocalypse’s strengths. We can see this from the failure of his plans and always being defeated by members of the X-Men.
7. Dormammu
Dormammu had a long history and wanted to gather all the power. After absorbing as much power and strength as possible, Dormammu and his sibling Umar then killed their mother before being kicked out of their home.
As they drifted through different universes and dimensional plains, they found the Dark Dimension. There King Ulnar gave them power on the condition that Dormammu would teach him how to penetrate the dimension.
After decades of conquest, Dormammu finally brought Ulnar to his death and took over as ruler of the Dark Dimension. From here he continued his mission of dimensional conquest. Dormammu even tried to conquer Earth, but his attempt was thwarted by Doctor Strange as we saw in the movie.
6. Thanos
Avengers: Endgame gave fans an idea of the kind of dictator Thanos would make. But the MCU version of Thanos believes he’s doing it for the greater good.
This is very different from Thanos from the comics who only did that to achieve his main goal, which is Lady Death’s attention. Thanos is really just trying to get the attention of Lady Death who he’s apparently in love with.
Like someone who is in love and has that much power, Thanos slaughtered half the universe just to get the attention of a woman.
5. Thor Odinson
Dictators may be universally judged as bad. But Thor proved that there can be good dictators who can solve all problems. Under Thor’s leadership, the world went from strength to strength.
There are no more disease-infected areas because Asgardians can cure anything that comes up. There are no borders, no wars, no religions and no suffering.
Despite this, there are still many people who hold onto the religions that have been taken away from them. Many refused to give up their faith and suffered for doing so, or they at least held on to their traditions in secret. Thor’s rule may have advanced humanity, but it certainly did not give them freedom.
4. Bruce Banner (Maestro)
When humans and superhumans have been devastated by Nuclear war, only The Hulk is left to see the next life. This version of the Hulk is much older than many of the versions fans often see in Marvel comics. He’s also much stronger thanks to the radiation he absorbed during the war.
When the world turned to ash, the Hulk took what was left and asserted his rule. Whatever happens to the creatures beneath him must not escape his sight.
Maestro Hulk’s combination of Bruce Banner’s intelligence and The Hulk’s immense strength makes Maestro a dictator that no one would dare question.
3. Captain America (Stevil)
Captain America may not be the first hero to fall victim to the corrupting effects of power. But it certainly hurts more than some other heroes who have fallen to their own vanity.
Steve Rogers was supposed to be the stepping stone that built the foundation to inspire Marvel’s other superheroes. So when he utters the line, “Hail Hydra” fans know that alternate timelines play a role here.
Cap systematically took over America’s government. He also targeted and destroyed superhero teams that tried to stop him. Cap seems to be so talented at being evil that all his plans are very hard to read.
2. Victor Von Doom
Victor Von Doom was made for one thing and one thing only: supreme rule. Whether that means being the sole ruler of his homeland of Latveria, or ruling what’s left of the multiverse with an iron fist.
The confusing thing about Doom’s journey to becoming a ruler is that by the time he reaches a position of power, he’s usually very skilled. Doom may not use the most heroic methods to amass power, but often Latveria and even the multiverse would not survive without Doom.
1. Namor the Submariner
Just like T’challa and other Kings in Marvel Comics, Namor is a king who has to be comfortable in making tough decisions. Decisions like going to war, killing, and taking care of an entire nation. And just like Doom, Namor can be very arrogant.
Namor believed that as the ruler of Atlantis, there was no one he could call his equal. Namor’s rule may not have harmed his people, but it has harmed many others.
