After two years since the first announcement, Dragami Games finally announced the release date and first trailer of the Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP game. Originally the game was going to be released as a Remake, but eventually it will only be a Remastered game.
The game will focus on quality-of-life improvements, additional features, and content. The developers will also maintain the original story and core-gameplay.
For those of you who are uninformed, Lollipop Chainsaw is a zombie game with an Action Hack-and-Slash genre. This game was first released in 2012 for PS3 and Xbox 360.
At that time, the game was developed by Grasshopper Manufacture, which was fronted by Suda51 and James Gunn. However, the Remastered version is now taken over by a new developer, Dragami Games.
New Content from the Remastered version
Juliet Starling, a Cheerleader, becomes the main protagonist in this game. On her 18th birthday, she went to the park for a date with her boyfriend, Nick Carlyle.
However, there was an outbreak of zombies which made Nick bitten by one of the zombies. Realizing that Nick will soon turn into a zombie, Juliet decides to behead Nick to save him.
Under strange circumstances, Nick, who has actually lost his head, can still survive and speak normally. Juliet and Nick are caught up in a zombie outbreak that has a student leader and five zombies representing different types of music.
Using a Chainsaw, Juliet is ready to fight and kill all the zombies that stand in her way for her survival.
