Avengers Doomsday and Secret Wars Schedules Pushed Back

Avengers Doomsday and Secret Wars were reportedly pushed back from their original plans, leading to some projects being scrapped.

According to CNN Indonesia, Marvel Studios has announced that the release of Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars have been postponed by several months. Doomsday was originally released on May 1, 2026 to December 18, 2026. While Avengers: Secret Wars, from May 7, 2027 to December 17, 2027.

The rescheduling caused several Marvel projects to be removed from the airing list. Including the untitled Marvel project, which is scheduled for February 13, 2026.

The change in broadcast schedule has led to a number of projects being removed from the calendar, such as the untitled project that was removed from the February 13, 2026 slot.

The two “Untitled Marvel” projects previously scheduled for November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2027 have now been renamed “Untitled Disney”. This change indicates that they can allocate these slots to other projects.

On the other hand, some of the dates still lined up for Marvel Studios include February 18, 2028, May 5, 2028, and November 10, 2028. However, all three dates are currently listed as “Untitled Marvel”.

Avengers Doomsday and Secret Wars schedule pushed back for movie quality?

Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars are the two main films that will conclude The Multiverse Saga. They also mark the close of Phase Six, the pivotal phase that Fantastic Four: First Steps opens.

In general, we can see this delay as a sign of Marvel’s commitment to delivering a high-quality movie. While we’ll have to be patient for a bit longer, with the sheer scale and potential they promise, it looks like Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars will be worth the wait.

By making Doomsday and Secret Wars the culmination of the Multiverse Saga, Marvel seems to be trying to avoid previous mistakes.

They wanted to make sure that every aspect, both in terms of narrative and technical production, was well prepared. Given that these two films will be the main starting point of a decade of MCU stories, everything has to be perfect.

Furthermore, this delay gives Marvel Studios the opportunity to finalize deals with some big stars that they still haven’t announced. One of them is Tom Holland who will return to action in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and Hugh Jackman who will reprise his role as Wolverine.

Their presence in Doomsday will further add to the movie’s appeal to fans.
