1. Captain America: Brave New World
Captain America: Brave New World will be the first new movie from the MCU to be released in 2025, and also the first MCU movie after Deadpool & Wolverine. The movie is a continuation of the story in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier series.
In the series, we see Sam Wilson’s struggle to deal with a situation where many people reject his presence as Steve Rogers’ successor. This conflict also continues in the movie Brave New World.
Sam has to deal with the new American president, Thunderbolt Ross. The tension between Ross and Sam is the main focus of the storyline, although there are several other story elements that will also appear. Captain America: Brave New World is scheduled to release on February 14, 2025.
2. Thunderbolts*
The next new MCU movie to be officially released is Thunderbolts. Thunderbolts will feature characters who were previously cast as villains, collaborating with various other characters.
It is known that the Thunderbolts team members who will join include Ghost, Red Guardian, U.S. Agent, Yelena Belova, Taskmaster, and The Winter Soldier.
Initially, the Thunderbolts* movie was set to air on July 25, 2025, but later the release date was changed to May 2, 2025. Until now, detailed information about the movie, especially regarding the plot, has been limited.
3. The Fantastic Four – The First Steps
Next up is The Fantastic Four – The Forst Steps. Matt Shakman’s The Fantastic Four – The First Steps will feature Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing.
Based on available information, the filming process for this movie has officially started a few days ago. Information about the movie is still minimal. However, the few details that have been revealed suggest that the movie will take place in a future setting inspired by the 1960s.
In addition, Kevin Feige also stated that the Fantastic Four team in this film does not come from the main Marvel universe. The film itself is scheduled to air on July 25, 2025.
4. Blade
About five years ago, Marvel Studios announced that Mahershala Ali would be playing Blade in the Blade reboot project in the MCU. Ali even appeared at the SDCC 2019 event, where he confirmed his role as the vampire hunter.
However, to date, production on the Blade reboot project has not started at all. Fans are instead faced with various negative news related to this project.
For example, the film’s director, Bassam Tariq, has chosen to withdraw from the project. In addition, Mahershala Ali was previously rumored to be pulling out of this film project. However, Ali later confirmed that the Blade reboot project will still continue as planned.
The Blade MCU reboot film itself has an airdate of November 5, 2025.
5. Avengers: Doomsday
After almost seven years since the release of Avengers: Endgame, Marvel Studios will finally present a new Avengers movie titled Avengers: Doomsday. The fifth movie in the Avengers series is quite a showstopper as it is actually a change from Marvel’s original plan.
At SDCC 2024, Marvel Studios announced that they have replaced the character Kang the Conqueror with Doctor Doom. This is the reason for the movie title change to Doomsday. Interestingly, Robert Downey Jr. will return to the MCU and play Doctor Doom.
The movie Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to air on May 1, 2026.
6. Avengers: Secret Wars
Next up is Avengers: Secret Wars. After Avengers: Doomsday, Marvel Studios will launch a new Avengers movie titled Avengers: Secret Wars. Many fans have already heard about this planned movie project.
Avengers: Secret Wars is a movie that Marvel Studios is preparing to be the grand finale of the Multiverse Saga in Phases 5 and 6.
According to the announcement Marvel has made, the Secret Wars movie will be released in 2027 and they expect it to be one of the biggest movies in the MCU.
There are rumors that the movie will feature up to 60 characters. At the moment, information about this movie project is still very limited.
7. Four MCU Movies with Titles Marvel Hasn’t Announced Yet
The new MCU movie that will be released next does not yet have an official title. In addition to the previously announced films, Disney announced a release schedule change that also affects Marvel Studios. They plan to release a movie on July 26, 2026.
However, the studio finally decided to cancel the film’s release schedule. Until now, the reason behind Marvel Studios’ decision to remove the film’s schedule is unknown. However, Marvel is preparing two new films that are planned to be released in February and November 2026. Thus, Marvel will release three films at once that year.
Something similar will happen in 2027. In addition to Avengers: Secret Wars which will be released in May 2027, Marvel Studios also plans to release two other films in February and November 2027.
