After collaborating with South Korea on the drama “Eye Love You”, Japan is now ready to launch a new romance movie titled “18×2 Beyond Youthful Days”. The synopsis of 18×2 Beyond Youthful Days tells the story of a cross-country love drama.
With an emotional storyline inspired by a true story, viewers were curious about the chemistry between Greg Hsu and Kaya Kiyohara, who are known to be talented actors. Despite being from different countries and speaking different languages, it did not hinder their collaboration.

18×2 Beyond Youthful Days Synopsis
The movie 18×2 Beyond Youthful Days is a collaboration between Japan and Taiwan, based on a book of essays based on a true story of a man from Taiwan. Fuji Michihito, who previously directed the movie The Last 10 Years (2023), serves as the director and scriptwriter for this movie.
Themed around first love, this movie tells the story of the meeting that happened 18 years ago between Jimmy and a tourist named Amy in Taiwan. During summer vacation, Amy works part-time at the same store as Jimmy.
They grow closer, and Jimmy begins to feel an attraction to the Japanese woman who is four years older than him. However, Amy suddenly returns to Japan, leaving Jimmy with his first unrequited love.
One day, Jimmy finds a postcard sent by Amy 18 years ago. The memories motivate Jimmy to decide to go to Japan for the first time. Will Jimmy succeed in finding Amy?

Greg Hsu, the Taiwanese actor who achieved great success with Someday or One Day, is now further expanding his international career after being cast as the lead in a Japanese film. 18×2 Beyond Youthful Days will also be the third collaboration between actress Kaya Kiyohara and director Fuji Michihito.
