The first movie Inside Out (2015) received positive praise from critics and audiences. In addition, the film also won the 2016 Academy Award for the category of best animated film.

Inside Out 2 Synopsis
Inside Out 2 will continue the life story of Riley Andersen, who is now a teenager, and depict the various emotions she faces in her life. This time, the more mature Riley faces new emotions. One of them is Anxiety, which is shown in orange.
In middle school, Riley became a member of the hockey team and made new friends. This required her to adapt to the new environment. Riley’s inner group of emotions, consisting of Joy, Anger, Sadness, Fear, and Disgust, is surprised by the arrival of unexpected guests.
One day, the worker overhauled the emotion control room by adding new buttons. This resulted in the emergence of new emotions such as Anxiety, Envy, Ennui, and Embarrassment. These new emotions like to control or take over Riley’s emotions.
The presence of a new emotion named Anxiety (Maya Hawke) will shake things up at headquarters. Enthusiastically, Anxiety will ensure that Riley is prepared for any eventuality that may end in a negative outcome.
There is also Envy (Ayo Edebiri) who looks small and adorable, but he has a clear will. He always feels envious of what others have, and he doesn’t hesitate to show his regret.
Another new emotion is Ennui (Adèle Exarchopoulos) which makes Riley indifferent. Ennui adds the perfect element of apathy to Riley’s teenage personality, whenever needed.
In addition, the presence of Embarrassment (Paul Walter Hauser) makes Riley’s character even more complicated. The emotion shows a shy and humble demeanor, which is unusual for a well-built man with bright pink skin.
These new emotions caused Riley to feel worried, jealous, bored, embarrassed and anxious. Riley’s emotional state affected her relationships with those closest to her, which became less favorable.
