According to THR, Jared Leto, best known for his roles in films like Morbius and Suicide Squad, will officially play Skeletor in the upcoming live action Masters of the Universe. In addition, several other famous characters such as Trap Jaw, Goat Man, and Tri-Klops are also officially coming.
Leto will star opposite Alison Brie who plays Evil-Lyn, Skeletor’s right hand. Meanwhile, Nicholas Galitzine will be the lead role as He-Man. Camila Mendes as Teela and Idris Elba as Duncan, who fans also know as the Man-at-Arms.
1. Jared Leto Casts Skeletor in Live Action Masters of the Universe
Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel have just announced the new actors in the live-action Masters of the Universe movie. Jared Leto, who was previously rumored to be joining, will now officially play Skeletor, He-Man’s main nemesis.
Skeletor, the franchise’s main adversary, is a cunning and powerful wizard, always a tough challenge for He-Man. One of Skeletor’s loyal followers, Trap Jaw, is famous for his advanced technology and versatile weapons.
Meanwhile, Goat Man, although only a minor evil character, has a unique appearance that resembles a goat. Tri-Klops, who is an expert in technology and reconnaissance, will also pose a great threat thanks to his extraordinary abilities as a swordsman.
In the latest casting announcement, Sam C. Wilson will officially play Trap Jaw, while Game of Thrones actor Hafthor Bjornsson will play Goat Man. Kojo Attah has also been cast as Tri-Klops.

The Masters of the Universe franchise has had a rich journey with achievements in areas such as toys, television, video games and movies. Introduced by Mattel in 1982, the franchise initially came as a toy line featuring iconic characters such as He-Man and Skeletor.

In the movie world, there was a live action movie released in 1987 with Dolph Lundgren as He-Man and Frank Langella as Skeletor. Now, the iconic role of Skeletor will be filled by Leto in the movie Masters of the Universe which will be released in 2026.
