Ryan Reynolds revealed about the future of his character, Deadpool, in the MCU after the launch of his latest movie, Deadpool & Wolverine.
To date, according to various reports from news sites, the movie has been a huge profit and success in the movie industry. However, fans are now curious about what will happen next to the Deadpool character in the MCU.
Deadpool’s Future in the MCU
In an interview with Collider, Ryan Reynolds revealed the future of the Deadpool character in the MCU after the Deadpool and Wolverine movies.
“I want to say that Shawn and I have explained everything quite clearly. I think we’ve done it in a good way, because addressing the biggest problem facing humanity is when studios ask, ‘what’s next?’ or ‘how can we create something else?’ However, we made this movie with a deep experience. We didn’t make this movie to promote another movie. That’s not the goal. I really enjoy the process of making movies like this. But, to be honest, right now I’m not sure if I’ll be back in that Deadpool costume – I wish I could, but I don’t know. Right now, I think it’s a good time to give the character a rest and see what happens next.”
Although Ryan Reynolds revealed that he doesn’t know Deadpool’s fate in the MCU after his third movie, it seems that the character still has a chance to make a comeback based on the plans prepared by Marvel Studios.
What’s more, the movie provided an opportunity for these characters to return and make new contributions to the storyline.
Ryan Reynolds is More Popular as Deadpool
The Hollywood actor has appeared in many hit movies, but fans know him best through his role as Wade Wilson in Deadpool. Since his debut in 2016, Reynolds has managed to portray the character from the Marvel comics very well.
The success of Deadpool led to the release of its sequel in 2018. Currently, both Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool movies are still the highest grossing R-rated movies of all time.
After Disney acquired 20th Century Fox, the mutant characters returned to Marvel Studios. They then released the third Deadpool movie, titled Deadpool & Wolverine, which was released in late July.
