Anthony Mackie, the star actor of Captain America, has confirmed that there will be no Season 2 of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Mackie also mentioned how good his relationship was with Sebastian Stan and Daniel Bruhl. Nonetheless, he admitted to being a little disappointed that his favorite series will not continue its story.
“The Falcon and [the] Winter Soldier, I really enjoyed that series. I was actually excited to do a second season, just so me and Sebastian [Stan] could get paid to meet. When they (Marvel Studios) decided to go back to the movies (filming Captain America 4), it is what it is, but I don’t have my friends anymore. Anything I can do to meet Daniel, a dancing Daniel Brühl, makes me very happy.” Mackie said.
1. Mackie and Daniel Bruhl’s relationship remains good despite the absence of Falcon and Winter Soldier Season 2
Although the two have parted ways and there will be no The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Season 2, their relationship remains good. They openly mention their colleagues’ names to the media.
In a recent interview with Distractify, Mackie jokingly said that he was glad to have the freedom without Sebastian Stan. The Marvel actor joked that they both now have the opportunity to experiment.
Marvel fans will see Bucky’s character in Thunderbolts in the coming year. So, it’s unlikely that we’ll see Sam and Bucky in action together anytime soon. However, we can be sure that there is still plenty of fun to be had despite this.
