The first Muslim DC superhero is Nightrunner. For those of you who don’t know, this superhero has the real name Bilal Asselah, he is a parkour athlete who was once caught by the police during a Muslim protest in France.

When his friend dies in the protest, Bilal decides to become a vigilante called Nightrunner, in order to prevent chaos and civil war from happening. Bilal struggled at first because he did not master martial arts techniques.

But after meeting Batman and Dick Grayson, he trained in martial arts and became part of Batman Incorporated for the French region.

The next Muslim DC superhero is Green Lantern. As we know that Green Lantern is not just one but there are many, now the Green Lantern who is Muslim is Simon Baz.

Simon was initially arrested because someone accused him of being a terrorist. When he was about to defend himself, Hal Jordan and Sinestro’s Power Ring flew straight to where Simon was and fused with his finger, making him a Green Lantern.

There he found a spell book belonging to a wizard named Merlin and a short sword belonging to Sultan Suleiman. Through these two items, Selma gained magical powers to protect her home country.

The next Islamic DC superhero is Iron Butterfly. For those of you who don’t know, this character has the real name Kahina Eskandari, according to the story she is a Palestinian girl who has the ability to manipulate metal objects.

Well, her Iron Butterfly alter ego came about because Kahina often fights crime using metal wings. The character originally belonged to Milestone Comics, until it eventually joined the DC Universe.

6. Halo

The next Islamic DC superhero is Halo. This superhero has the real name Gabrielle Daou, according to the story she is a Muslim superhero who comes from Quraci, a fictional city which is a combination of the word Al-Qur’an and Iraq.

He can gain power from the Mother Box which we can see in the Justice League movie. Thanks to this object, he got the power to heal wounds, create energy fields, fly, shoot energy waves, create holograms and teleport.

7. Obscura

The last Muslim DC superhero is Obscura. If we pay attention, this character is quite similar to the Black Widow character from the Marvel universe. According to the story, Munira Khairuddin is of Asian descent, more precisely Malaysian.

Another similarity, Obscura works for an American intelligence agency, like Black Widow who works as an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. Although included in the superhero, Obscura is just an ordinary human with martial arts skills.
