In Lightfall, players will face Calus, the former evil emperor of the Cabal, who has returned to the solar system. He arrives with the Pyramid fleet as Disciple of the Witness – a cosmic foe first introduced in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen.
Lightfall will be an expansion that will end the story of the first part of Destiny 2 since the player’s adventure as a Guardian. Bungie also announced that it would not delete old Vault content since the Shadowkeep expansion. In other words, the size of the game will get bigger.

Lightfall will be released around the end of February 2023. Specifically, the Lightfall DLC will release on February 28, 2023 via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
