After a long wait, Mojang confirmed that the Vibrant Visuals update for Minecraft finally has an official release date. This update will be available starting June 17 for the Bedrock Edition version. Through this update, the world of Minecraft will be much more vibrant and atmospheric.
While the graphics have undergone a significant visual revolution, players need not worry. The gameplay mechanics they’ve grown to love remain intact.
This ensures that their gaming experience remains exciting and familiar, while plumbing the depths of the new beauty on offer.
This update is the first step in Mojang ‘s efforts to modernize the look of Minecraft. They are also open to player feedback. So there will most likely be more visual updates in the future based on community feedback.
This could pave the way for a generation of Minecraft that is visually more modern but still faithful to the iconic block style.
Minecraft’s Visual Refresh
Through a recently released video, Mojang shows off the various visual enhancements that will be available in Vibrant Visuals. Starting from more realistic lighting effects, volumetric fog that makes the atmosphere even more pronounced, to color shades that are tailored to the biome.
One example is if a hot area like a desert will have a more yellowish or orange color tone. Meanwhile, cold areas like the tundra will appear with a cool bluish color.
This update is mainly cosmetic. While there are now more dynamic shadows and lighting, these changes will not affect gameplay systems, such as light levels for the appearance of monsters.
Mojang also confirmed that the Minecraft “Vibrant Visuals” update is easily accessible to players through the settings menu. So players from various platforms can enable or disable it easily without the need for additional mods or shaders.
This update will be active by default through devices that support Minecraft Bedrock Edition. As for Java version players, this feature is not yet available. However, Mojang ensures that they are working hard so that Vibrant Visuals can also be enjoyed by Java Edition users in the future.
