GSC Game World has just launched the latest trailer for the game Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl that they are currently developing. Stalker is one of the legendary games that managed to present a gripping horror atmosphere through gameplay and the terrible Chernobyl setting.
More than 10 years later, GSC Game World as the developer has now prepared the fourth series of the Stalker franchise. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl itself will present a vast open-world world and exciting FPS gameplay with a post-apocalyptic theme.
The developer even describes this game as a fast-paced game with a seamless open world experience. In addition, Stalker 2 will also come with a variety of interesting features and a storyline that changes based on the player’s choices.

Through a 2:30 minute trailer, GSC Game World showed off the latest visuals for S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2: Heart of Chernobyl. With Unreal Engine 5, which is arguably the most modern game engine, you can see how ambitious and premium this game set in the city of Pripyat is.
The game itself is targeted for release in 2023 for Windows platforms, Xbox Series X/S, and will go straight into Day One’s Game Pass. First announced in 2010, the game was originally planned for a 2012 release.
However, due to GSC’s mass layoffs, the game was cancelled from development and went underground. It was later re-announced at the E3 2021 Microsoft/Bethesda panel event and planned for a 2022 release.
Ready for Release in 2023
Although it was delayed due to the war, GSC Game World is confident that the release of this game will not be delayed again. It believes that this game is ready to launch in 2023, although there is no exact date for this game to be released.
The game itself will be released exclusively for Xbox Series X|S consoles and also PC via Steam. You can also play this game directly on the first day of release, if you subscribe to the Xbox Game Pass service.
