The Detective Conan franchise will have a new movie titled One-Eyed Flashback. Detective Conan Movie Synopsis: One-Eyed Flashback itself tells the story of an avalanche case involving the name Kogoro Mouri in the past with a one-eyed man.
According to a report from Crunchyroll on Tuesday (March 11, 2025), Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback will open in 55 IMAX theaters, 12 MX4D theaters, 62 4DX theaters, 9 Dolby Cinema theaters, and 384 regular theaters in Japan on April 18, 2025.

Detective Conan: One-Eyed Flashback is the 28th movie in the iconic anime series Detective Conan. In this movie, viewers are invited to dive into a new case full of puzzles and risks in a snowy mountainous region.
Set in the Yatsugatake Mountains of Nagano, the movie will uncover a dangerous conspiracy linking landslides, astronomical investigations, and mysterious events involving Kogoro Mori!
The story begins ten months before the main event, when a police officer named Kansuke Yamato is hunting a mysterious person on the snow-covered Mount Miho.
While he was in pursuit, an unidentified man fired a shot that hit Kansuke in the left eye and caused a massive avalanche. Kansuke almost lost his life as a result of being buried in the snow, and this event remains an unsolved mystery.
Now, ten months after the incident, a researcher at Nobeyama Observatory is the target of an attack by a mysterious person. Kansuke, who survived the landslide disaster, came to conduct an investigation, but suddenly, the large antenna at the observatory began to move, and a sharp pain appeared in his injured left eye.
At the Mouri Detective Agency, Kogoro Mori receives a mysterious call from a detective named Wani. Wani claims to have worked with her at the Metropolitan Police. He revealed that Kogoro’s name was listed in the documents of the landslide case on Mount Miho, and that there were connections linking Kogoro to the event.
Sensing something was wrong, Conan decided to follow Kogoro to the place where they would meet with Wani. However, while they were on their way, they suddenly heard gunshots.

Detective Conan’s 28th movie will have more screen time than ‘Detective Conan Case Closed: The Million-dollar’.
Previously, the 27th film in the series ran in 515 theaters, making it the Conan film with the widest distribution reach at the time. However, this year, One-eyed Flashback broke that record with a run in 522 theaters across Japan.
