Action monster movie Jurassic World: Rebirth has just released its first trailer, giving an early look at the latest movie in the series. The movie features Jonathan Bailey, Scarlett Johansson, and Mahershala Ali. Universal will screen the movie internationally in mid-2025.
As the fourth installment in “Jurassic World,” the storyline follows a group of scientists and other individuals who attempt to collect genetic samples from the three largest dinosaur species that reside on sea, land and air.
Set five years after the events of “Jurassic World: Dominion” (2022), the world has become an inhospitable place for dinosaurs, leaving the survivors isolated in habitats that once supported them. These three giant creatures from different ecosystems may have an important role to play in finding a cure that could save humanity.
1. Jurassic World Rebirth Trailer
The Jurassic World Rebirth trailer begins with a meeting between Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson), a covert operations expert, and Dr. Henry Loomis (Jonathan Bailey), a paleontologist. Zora is invited to accompany Dr. Loomis on a secret mission. Their task is to find the three largest living dinosaur species on a remote island.
The three types of dinosaurs have DNA that contains elements critical to the development of a life-saving drug for humans. On their way to the planet, Zora and Henry receive support from team leader Duncan Kincaid (Mahershala Ali).
The trailer then shows the risky adventure that Zora, Henry and Duncan experience as they venture out into nature to find these ancient creatures. They explore a forbidden island that was previously a support facility for Jurassic Park.
Various types of dinosaurs also appear, ranging from classic ones to those that have undergone changes and become more terrifying. There are at least eight types of dinosaurs seen, including the famous Spinosaurus. The Spinosaurus returns after last being seen in Jurassic Park III (2001). This time, Zora and her friends must face three Spinosaurus at once.
Next, there are Velociraptor, Dilophosaurus, and Mosasaurus, which are some of the largest dinosaurs that lived in the water. A group of Mosasaurus can be seen watching over the mission members while they are on the boat. One of the scenes in the trailer also shows the chaos that dZora and her team experience when the Mosasaurus start attacking the ship.
The trailer ends with the appearance of the Jurassic World Rebirth logo, which still takes inspiration from the Jurassic Park logo. The famous soundtrack from the saga also plays, adding to the distinctive feel.
