This approach is broadly similar to the strategy that Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes employs, which also introduces a similar idea.
The Maze Runner is a science fiction movie with a dystopian backdrop that tells the story of a number of teenagers who wake up without memories in an underground location called the Glade.
