According to Deadline, Stranger Things star Sadie Sink will join Spider-Man 4, the Spider-Man sequel by Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios. Holland will also officially return as Peter Parker.
While Sink’s role has yet to be officially revealed, rumor has it that she will be playing Jean Grey, a character from the X-Men.
1. Sadie Sink role in Spider-Man 4
The news about Sadie playing Jean Grey has actually been around for some time. Given the conclusion of Spider-Man: No Way Home, there is a lot of speculation that this fourth movie will lead to something new. This includes introducing new characters from the Marvel universe.
If this assumption is correct, it is likely that Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios are utilizing Spider-Man 4 as a way to incorporate more X-Men characters into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Besides Jean Grey, there are also suggestions that Sadie might take on the role of Mary Jane, who is Peter’s love interest. 2. 2025 is a busy year for Tom Holland
Filming of Spider-Man 4 was set to begin this summer in London and will continue into the fall. However, Sony Pictures has announced that the film’s release date has been adjusted from July 24, 2026 to July 31, 2026.
Besides working on Spider-Man 4, 2025 will be a busy year for Tom Holland. The actor will also take part in a major project called The Odyssey, a Christopher Nolan-directed epic film adapting the classic poem by Homer.
The film features a stellar lineup of stars such as Matt Damon, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, and Jon Bernthal. Production on The Odyssey is scheduled to begin in spring this year with filming locations in England, Morocco, and Sicily.
