Sony Interactive Entertainment recently announced the winners of the PlayStation Partner Awards 2022 Japan Asia. The Playstation Partner Awards itself is one of the awards held starting from 1995 since the Playstation console was released at that time.
This annual event is held to acknowledge the PlayStation games sold throughout the year and the creativity of the people who made them. This year, the Grand Award was given to 2 titles: Genshin Impact and Elden Ring. In addition to the Grand Awards, Sony also gave out Partner, Special, and Users’ Choice Awards.

PlayStation Partner Awards 2022 Japan Asia winners
There are 14 awards given out this year for games released between October 2021 and September 2022. The Grand Awards went to the top 2 best-selling titles in the world made by Japanese and Asian developers. The 5 Partner Awards winners meet the same criteria but also have noteworthy user metrics.
The first Special Award is given to the best-selling title in Japan and Asia developed outside of those regions, while the second is given to the best-selling title globally developed in partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios.
Finally, the Users’ Choice Awards were given to 5 of the 30 most played titles (based on total hours) as voted by players in Japan and Asia.

Elden Ring is one of the games that won many awards this year. And now they managed to take home the Grand Award as well as the Users’ Choice Award.
In addition, Genshin Impact, Final Fantasy XIV, and Apex Legends are all returning award winners from 2021. Genshin also won the Grand Award last year, while FFXIV and Apex took home the award each for the third year in a row.
